BIOGRAPHY

Dr. Brod is Clinical Professor of Dermatology and Director of Contact and Occupational Dermatology at the University of Pennsylvania's Perelman School of Medicine, where he also serves as Associate Dean of CME and Interprofessional Collaboration. He is board-certified in Dermatology and Pediatric Dermatology. A longtime leader in dermatology health policy, Dr. Brod currently serves on the AAD Executive Committee and Board of Directors and previously chaired the AAD's Government Affairs and Health Policy Council (2020–2024). In that role, he was closely involved in the Academy's response to the 2021 iPLEDGE platform crisis and subsequent advocacy with FDA on REMS reform. He served on the SkinPAC Board and is a member of the Cosmetic Ingredient Review Expert Panel for Cosmetic Ingredient Safety.
