BIOGRAPHY

Dr. Shasa Hu is an Associate Professor and Director of Cosmetic Division at Dr. Philip Frost Department of Dermatology and Cutaneous Surgery at University of Miami Miller School of Medicine. Her clinical practice focuses on aesthetics and skin cancer surveillance. Her research interests include mainly issues impacting skin of color populations ranging from skin cancer prevention to responses to aesthetic treatments. Dr. Hu and her team published several landmark studies that raised awareness on delayed melanoma diagnosis among Hispanics and skin of color. She has also lectured nationally and internationally on innovation and racial/ethnic consideration in cosmetic procedures.
