BIOGRAPHY

Dr. Marcia Ramos-e-Silva is Full Professor and Head of the Dermatology Sector at the Federal University of Rio de Janeiro (UFRJ). Graduation in Medicine, MSc and PhD at UFRJ. Post-Doctorate at Tulane University. Practice areas include Clinical and Surgical Dermatology; more than 400 scientific publications (7 books, 51 book chapters, and articles in medical journals) Awards: Maria Duran Lectureship and Honors and Maria Duran Medal for outstanding services (ISD); WDS International Pioneer Award for Distinguished Women in Dermatology; 51st Jabuti Prize - Best Book in Natural Sciences and Health Sciences; International Clinical Care Award (EADV); Presidential Citation (AAD 2026). Honorary Member (AAD). Member of the Board of the International League of Dermatological Societies (2002-2015).
