BIOGRAPHY
George Han, MD, PhD, is an Associate Professor in the Department of Dermatology at the Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai. He is the Director of Research at New York Health + Hospitals/Elmhurst across the hospital enterprise. He is the Immediate Past President of the Dermatologic Society of Greater New York, a member of the board of directors of the New York State Society of Dermatology and Dermatologic Surgery, a Councilor of the International Psoriasis Council, an Associate of the International Eczema Council, and a member of the Scientific Advisory Committee of the National Psoriasis Foundation. Dr. Han is active within the American Academy of Dermatology as the Chair of the Council on Practice Management while also serving as a current or former member of the Council on Education, the Council on Community, Corporate, and Philanthropic Relations, the Teledermatology Task Force, and the Diversity Committee. He has received three presidential citations for his work within the AAD and numerous Teacher of the Year awards in the Department of Dermatology at Mount Sinai. Dr. Han is the editor-in-chief of the Journal of Psoriasis and Psoriatic Arthritis. To date, he has over 100 publications in well-respected journals such as JAMA Dermatology, the Journal of the American Academy of Dermatology, the Journal of Investigative Dermatology, the British Journal of Dermatology, the Journal of Infectious Diseases, and the American Journal of Pathology, as well as several book chapters and patents. He is active in both basic science research and clinical trials, serving as Principal Investigator or International Coordinating Investigator in dozens of studies.
