PRL09 Pearls: Surgical Dermatology
DESCRIPTION
This session offers practical clinical pearls relevant for all dermatologic surgeons. Suturing techniques will be reviewed, including tips for preventing standing cone deformities and management of high-tension wounds. Simple and complicated techniques to close defects of the nasal ala, as well as the design and appropriate use of S-plasties and M-plasties.
LEARNING OBJECTIVES
Design and execute S-plasties and M-plasties when performing skin cancer reconstruction.
Describe best practices for suturing techniques for high-tension wounds.
Utilize multiple surgical techniques to close defects of the nasal ala.
