BIOGRAPHY

Jeanette M. Black, M.D. is a board-certified dermatologist and a fellowship-trained cosmetic dermatologic surgeon. After graduating from Pepperdine University with a Bachelor of Science degree, she received her Doctor of Medicine degree from Tulane University School of Medicine. She also completed a dermatology residency program at Tulane University School of Medicine. Dr. Black went on to graduate from a prestigious American Society of Dermatologic Surgery accredited cosmetic dermatologic surgery fellowship program at Skin Care and Laser Physicians of Beverly Hills where she trained under internationally recognized leaders in cosmetic dermatology. She has expertise in laser and light- based procedures, injectable botulinum toxins, injectable fillers, microneedling, platelet rich plasma (PRP), biostimulator injections, sclerotherapy, body contouring, skin lifting and tightening procedures, and scar revision. Dr. Black has co-authored numerous peer-reviewed medical journal articles and textbook publications and has been involved in research studies at the forefront of cosmetic dermatology. She is recognized as a leader in her field and gives lectures and teaches advanced cosmetic procedures and techniques throughout the country and internationally. Dr. Black serves on the editorial board for Dermatologic Surgery as a contributing editor. She also serves as an expert consultant to multiple skin care, pharmaceutical, and medical device companies. Before moving to New York City and joining UnionDerm, Dr. Black practiced in Beverly Hills, California in one of the country’s most elite cosmetic dermatology offices where she was sought after for her aesthetic skill and ability to deliver effective treatments and natural looking results. Dr. Black is a diplomate of the American Board of Dermatology, a fellow of the American Academy of Dermatology, and a member of the American Society for Dermatologic Surgery and the American Society for Laser Medicine and Surgery.
