BIOGRAPHY

John J. Zone, MD, is a Professor in the Department of Dermatology at the Spencer Fox Eccles School of Medicine at the University of Utah and currently holds the Bertram H. and Janet Marshall Schaap Presidential Endowed Chair. He served as Chair of the Dermatology Department for 33 years. He has been an invited speaker on over 100 occasions, including visits to 25 universities in the United States and 8 foreign countries, as well as regional and national society and academy meetings. He is a nationally recognized leader in Immunobullous disease, with special interest in the role of IgA in the pathogenesis of dermatitis herpetiformis and linear IgA disease.
