BIOGRAPHY
Andrea Lee Neimann, MD, MSCE, is a dermatologist, educator, and clinical researcher with expertise in medical dermatology, psoriasis, and psoriatic disease. Board certified in internal medicine before pursuing dermatology, Dr. Neimann brings a distinctive multidisciplinary perspective to the care of patients with complex inflammatory skin disorders. She completed a dermato-epidemiology fellowship at the University of Pennsylvania under Dr. Joel Gelfand, supported by an NIH-sponsored National Research Service Award, and earned a Master of Science in Clinical Epidemiology. Her research has focused on psoriasis, its systemic comorbidities, and clinical outcomes, including influential work on the association between psoriasis and cardiovascular disease. At NYU, Dr. Neimann has served as Director of the Dermatology Clinical Studies Unit and Director of the Fellowship of Inflammatory Skin Disease, leading clinical research initiatives and helping train the next generation of dermatologists. She is deeply involved in resident and student education, with a particular focus on psoriasis, psoriatic arthritis, and systemic therapies for inflammatory skin disease. Dr. Neimann also plays a leadership role in multidisciplinary care through NYU’s Psoriatic Arthritis Center and in collaborative research spanning dermatology, rheumatology, gastroenterology, and cardiology. Her work reflects a longstanding commitment to advancing dermatologic care through education, research, and compassionate patient-centered practice.
