BIOGRAPHY

Courtney R. Schadt, MD is an Associate Professor of Dermatology and Vice Chair of Education at the Vanderbilt Health Department of Dermatology. She practices general and medical dermatology and has particular expertise in autoimmune connective tissue disease and inflammatory disorders of the skin. Dr. Schadt returned to Vanderbilt as faculty in 2026. Prior to this, she was a dedicated clinician and educator at the University of Louisville Division of Dermatology, where she served as Residency Program Director and Dermatology Clerkship Director. Dr. Schadt has also served in national leadership roles, including Chair of the ACGME Dermatology Review Committee and co-chair/co-founder of the Association of Professors of Dermatology Program Director Section. She is originally from Lexington, KY and graduated with a BS in History from the University of Kentucky. Dr. Schadt completed medical school and Dermatology residency at the Vanderbilt University School of Medicine.
