EXP06 What's New in Severe Cutaneous Drug Reaction: Evidence Review and Treatment Updates
DESCRIPTION
This session will provide an in-depth update on the recognition and management of severe cutaneous adverse reactions, with a focus on drug reaction with eosinophilia and systemic symptoms (DRESS), Stevens–Johnson syndrome/toxic epidermal necrolysis (SJS/TEN), acute generalized exanthematous pustulosis (AGEP), and drug-induced bullous eruptions. Expert speakers will review current evidence for diagnosis, emerging treatment strategies, and long-term patient outcomes. The discussion will highlight advances in immunomodulatory therapies, supportive care, and multidisciplinary approaches. Designed for dermatologists, residents, and clinicians managing complex drug reactions, this session will equip attendees with practical tools to improve patient care in these high-stakes dermatologic emergencies.
This session is not certified for AMA PRA Category 1 CME Credit.
