PRL05 Pearls: Hair Disorders
DESCRIPTION
This session will demonstrate the need for trichoscopy, close clinical examination, and how to best build an algorithm for treatment of both scarring and non-scarring alopecias. Medical, procedural, and surgical techniques will be discussed.
LEARNING OBJECTIVES
To demonstrate complicated alopecia presentations and how to use the clinical exam and trichoscopy to choose the most appropriate and currently available treatments.
To demonstrate surgical techniques for common forms of alopecia including laser and scalp restoration that maximizes outcomes.
To identify and differentiate how hair loss can manifest across the age timeline and in patients of all hair types.
