BIOGRAPHY

Dr. Alam is professor and vice-chair of dermatology at northwestern University. He graduated from Yale University and Yale Medical School, completed his internship at the University of Michigan, dermatology residency at Columbia University, laser fellowship in Boston, Mohs fellowship in Houston, and MBA at Northwestern. He is president-elect of AAD. Dr. Alam is also a member of the NCCN Nonmelanoma Panel, the FDA General and Plastic Surgery Panel, ACGME Review Committee for Dermatology, and Dermatology Representative to USP (United States Pharmacopeia). He has written over 300 peer-reviewed manuscripts and over 20 books and is Associate Editor of the JAAD and Editor-In-Chief of the Archives of Dermatological Research.
