P025 Managing hair disorders in a diverse population
DESCRIPTION
This session will address old and new therapies for hair loss and scalp disorders with a focus on diverse populations such as children, racial minorities, and gender minorities. Exploration of the psychosocial ramifications that make hair loss a unique and challenging problem will also be addressed. The target audience is the general dermatologist and trainees.
LEARNING OBJECTIVES
Differentiate potential causes of hair loss and scalp disorders in a diverse patient population.
Formulate a culturally and individually appropriate treatment plan for the patient with hair loss and scalp disorders.
Prescribe new and old therapies useful for hair loss and scalp disorders.
