DESCRIPTION

This session is aimed towards Mohs Micrographic Surgeons and will be divided into 3 parts. In the first part we will cover pearls for reconstruction of the nasal valve and lip and overcoming tension in flaps. In the second part we will discuss approaching high risk cutaneous SCC. Lastly, we will discuss an approach to obtaining challenging Mohs stages including pearls for deep resections, accessing challenging anatomic locations and obtaining periosteal stages.

LEARNING OBJECTIVES

1.

Define approaches to maintaining the nasal valve, lip anatomy and optimizing flap mechanics.

2.

Evaluate and treat large and rare tumors.

3.

Integrate techniques aimed to optimize tissue collection during Mohs surgery on complex or challenging sites.
