DESCRIPTION

This session will provide an overview of the intersections of advocacy and dermatology from national experts. Diverse content will highlight applications of science, legislation, administrative and judicial policy, and other sociopolitical events to regulation and innovation within the specialty. Speakers will emphasize opportunities to engage with advocacy across the professional continuum. Topics include augmented intelligence, reimbursement and scope of practice, preservation of the patient-physician relationship, climate change, regulatory landscape, health equity, and organized medicine. Speakers will offer engagement tips for advocacy across the professional continuum and how to augment dermatology's voice in local, state, national, and international societies.
