DESCRIPTION

Caring for patients with genital skin complaints can be challenging. There are skin lesions that are both benign and concerning that are unique to the genitalia. In addition, common skin conditions can have more rare phenotypes on the genital skin. In this session, we will review skin lesions that are either unique to or present differently on genital skin. We will identify which lesions/eruptions warrant further work up and will create an approach to safely and effectively treat this sensitive site. The session will be divided equally between complaints on the vulva and those on the penis/scrotum. Join us for a tour of genital dermatology!

LEARNING OBJECTIVES

1.

Identify lesions that are unique to the genital area

2.

Recognize unique manifestations of more diffuse conditions on the genital skin
