DESCRIPTION
This Leadership Course will focus on Physician Leadership, by discussing universal leadership habits, traits and behaviors that support positive work environments and the people that work in them. We will stress actionable examples of how to approach difficult conversations and conflicts. The course will summarize the reflections on what it takes to be a successful Chair, Chief and Leader in any setting in Dermatology, from private practice to an academic Department. This course is for everyone, from those who are just starting their leadership journey, to those who want a refine, hone and advance their leadership skillset.
LEARNING OBJECTIVES
Discuss leadership habits that will help build a positive work environment.
Focus and develop a system on how to approach friction, conflict, and difficult conversations.
Summarize what it takes to successfully lead a group of physicians, whether in private practice or an academic department.
