DESCRIPTION

This session will help audience members recognize the different forms of identity-based harassment and mistreatment in the clinical environment. Attendees will learn how to implement practical communication strategies for responding to such behavior from patients and visitors. We will discuss the role of bystanders in monitoring and responding to harassment and how this translates to building trust and maintaining a highly effective clinical team. The session will be interactive with opportunities for audience participation and skills implementation.
