F085 “Choose Your Own Adventure”: Crowdsourcing for the Management of Complex and Refractory Pediatric Dermatology Cases
DESCRIPTION
This session will present approximately five pediatric dermatology cases for which there is limited, published, evidence-based consensus data on management, including reactive and infectious mucocutaneous exanthem (RIME), ulcerated infantile hemangiomas, granulomatous cheilitis, and advanced hidradenitis suppurativa. Using audience response software, we will ask audience attendees to select their preferred next steps in work-up and complex therapeutic management. Panelist pediatric dermatology experts will reflect on crowdsourced answers and provide additional clinical pearls based on their clinical experience.
LEARNING OBJECTIVES
Recognize the limits of current evidence regarding the management of certain complex and refractory pediatric dermatologic conditions (i.e., Reactive and Infectious Mucocutaneous Exanthem (RIME), ulcerated infantile hemangiomas, granulomatous cheilitis, complex hidradenitis suppurativa)
Formulate nuanced management approaches and therapeutic algorithms for the above challenging pediatric dermatologic cases
Incorporate management pearls from expert pediatric dermatologists into the approach of complex and refractory pediatric cases
