U066 Sunlight: Friend or Foe
DESCRIPTION
The side effects of acute and chronic sun exposure are well known to all dermatologists. However, sunlight exposure is also known to have beneficial effects; these include vitamin D synthesis, and emerging data on decrease in all cause, cardiovascular and cancer mortality. Australian Cancer Council has now modified its photoprotection message by taking into account skin type, time of day, and location. Personalized photoprotection recommendation will be explained and discussed.
