U008 Laser and Device-based Treatment of Scars
DESCRIPTION
This session will explore the use of lasers and device-based technology to treat different types of scars. Traditional and cutting-edge techniques will be explored for the correction of erythematous, pigmented, hypertrophic and atrophic scars, acne scars, burn scars, surgical scars and complex scars from trauma. Session format will include lectures and panel discussion.
LEARNING OBJECTIVES
Categorize scar types.
Identify new devices and techniques for treating scars.
Use an algorithmic approach to choose the most appropriate therapies for different scar types.
